Jihlava Hospital Diabetes Center is one of the few centers in the ČR, which has got both - pediatric as well as adult section
Jihlava Hospital dedicates to diabetic patients for decades. It has got a status of Diabetologic center for adults and for pediatric patients. A part for children is located in the pediatric clinic and a part for adults is located on the second floor of the internal pavilion. Diabetes care is based on close interdisciplinary cooperation.
Hospital Jihlava spread awareness focused on preventing colon cancer
Nurses of Jihlava Hospital were actively involved in a campaign to prevent a cancer of the colon and rectum. This campaign took place in Jihlava City Park in October. The task of nurses was primarily to acquaint people with the possibilities of prevention.
Diabetes brings distress to children, but thanks to organizations joys too
Like every year, this year held Children Diaclub Jihlava a summer recondition educational trip for children with diabetes mellitus (for children with diabetes mellitus type 1). It is regularly attended by about 20 children of school age and funded by parents, sponsors and the Association of Parents and Friends of diabetic children.
Sleep lab reveals the sleep syndrome during one night
Sleep laboratory works in Jihlava for three years. It is used by patients with breathing problems during sleeping. Sleep lab is located in the pulmonary department. Its price is 1100 CZK. The waiting time is six weeks. Laboratory capacity handles about 110 patients a year. Ten to fifteen percent of them need further care.

VI. Anesthesiology Days of the Vysočina Region 21. - 22. 10. 2010
In Jihlava there will meet anesthesiologists, intensivists and algesiologists of the Czech Republic in October. They will present their results and propose further directions of the problems and issues of intensive care medicine, anesthesiology and algesiology. Hospital Jihlava gained the Status of Ictus Centre
Hospital Jihlava fell into a network of specialized centers for the treatment of cerebrovascular disease. This status means that residents of Vysočina will be provided care in a high quality standard. For more information, see the official press release.
Cardiovascular Centre of the Hospital Jihlava
Hospital Jihlava came to the national network of cardiovascular centers. This network, which was settled by the Ministry of Health, consists of eleven complex cardiovascular centers and six cardiovascular centers of II. degree. Hospital Jihlava is a specialized cardiovascular department of II. degree.
Recertification
Hospital Jihlava successfully passed the recertification of ISO 9001:2008. This ”quality test“ confirmed that the Jihlava Hospital successfully complies with internationally applicable standards. Hospital Jihlava firstly implemented these standards in April 2007, when it received quality certificate from the hands of Czech representative of United Registrar of Systems Ltd.
Pavilion of emergency and intensive care
In the Hospital Jihlava there will grow a new pavilion - The Pavilion of Emergency and Intensive Care. In this pavilion there will be 40 beds in intensive care, emergency and a clinic of infectious diseases. Construction will begin in this autumn and will end in 2012. See more pictures here.
