Clinical Pharmacology

Our department provides systematic clinical-pharmaceutical care in several departments, and consular care is provided for all other departments of the hospital.

• Comprehensive evaluation and assessment of medication on admission to a healthcare facility, focusing on drug indications, dosages, dosage forms, routes of administration, drug interactions, and possible manifestations of side effects.
• Monitoring of pharmacotherapy in individual patients during hospitalization and at discharge.
• Individualization of pharmacotherapy with focus on pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of drugs, function of elimination organs, patients' condition and presence of other diseases.
• Interpretation of drug levels (TDM) - particularly of antibiotics.
• Consiliary examination.
• Educational activities, cooperation in the development of recommended practices in individual departments
• Collaboration in the Palliative Team.
