Department description
The Oncology Department of the Hospital Jihlava provides comprehensive oncological care (cancer diagnostics, cytostatic, biological and hormonal treatment, radiation treatment, supportive and palliative treatment and dispensary care) for adult patients with virtually all types of solid malignant tumours. It also treats some selected haematological malignancies. Treatment is provided on an outpatient and inpatient basis. The department currently has 35 standard beds and 2 intensive care beds for oncology patients in the associated ICU. According to the decree of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, the department has the status of a Comprehensive Oncology Centre and actively cooperates with other oncology departments in the region within the Regional Oncology Group.
