Blood and marrow donors

Benefits and awards

Blood donation is voluntary and non-contributory. The blood donor should not be motivated by financial gain. Non-contributory donation is an important criterion for the safety of donated blood.

Our thanks to all blood donors for their donation.

HOWEVER, YOU ARE OFFERED BLOOD DONOR BENEFITS EVERY TIME YOU DONATE:

Legal claims:
  • The blood donor is entitled to work leave with pay on the day of the donation. If the blood has not been drawn, the donor is entitled to time off only for the time necessary for the medical examination.
  • He can claim a tax deduction from his employer for each donation.

Benefits associated with the blood donation provided by the Hospital Jihlava:
  • Checking blood counts and pressure.
  • A meal ticket.
  • Small refreshments after donation.

It has become a tradition to offer free tickets to the Šiklův Mlýn area:
  • Tickets are valid upon presentation of a valid donor ID.
Other current benefits for blood donors can be found on the blood donation centre bulletin board.
Health insurance companies provide additional benefits to their insured blood donors:
  • Basic information can be found on the board at the donation centre.
  • Check directly with your health insurer for more information.

Non-contributory blood donation is morally rewarded in the Czech Republic by the Czech Red Cross:
